Straightening Rotating Walls

The soil around the foundation of many homes tends to shift around a lot, putting pressure on your basement walls. When the soil pressure is pushing hard onto your basement walls, they will tilt or bow inwards, causing multiple problems on your foundation. Waiting too long to fix the issue can cause your wall to buckle in more, most likely having to replace the surface.

Turn to Advanced Basement Technologies solve your wall and foundation problems. We service properties in Topeka, KS, and the surrounding areas.

Plate Anchors

Plate anchors are a type of support used to place a hold onto your basement walls, preventing the walls from tilting or bowing. We drill holes into the basement walls.

Then we put rods into the foundation into the ground at a minimum of 12 feet. Steel plates are placed on both ends of rods - one tightened down on the inside of the basement wall and the other tightened and clawed into the ground. The plate anchors relieve pressure pushed hard onto your basement walls, diminishing the issues like water leaking in, moisture that can cause mold or mildew, or any other problems damaging the foundation.

I-Beams Installation

When walls are tilted or bowed, i-beams support the foundation. I-beams are placed into a jackhammered pocket next to the footer of the basement walls. The I beams are set into the pocket, cemented in, against the wall to help support the walls from tilting or bowing back in.

Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber straps are another method of resisting bowing walls. This innovative technology is relatively new and we are the right people to install.
